Since i found out my 750 has compression (and shoots fire from the muffs), i decided it was time to plan my custom exhaust. and since Adams exhaust came out exactly how i wanted it, i figure its time to get a bit crazier. i have always loved the CL pipes, i figure it would look mean as hell to run some version of them on a four cylinder. below are some sketches i made (template taken from sohc4.net). Tubes are on the way, and i am excited to see how these work out. Note that tank, seat and colors and just for estimation only. Have a good look and then take the poll.

1. classic, straight. high drag pipes.

2. 4/2, early collector

3. 4/4 angular

4. 4/2, early collector, high sides

5. 4/4, leveled out and way mad max.

6. 4/2, high with exhale away from rider

7. 4/4, high 45º, level out to keep exhaust smell down.

8. 4/2, angular with a late collector, think ghetto Ducati.

9. fairly standard 4/2, slight up sweep after collector. 1+3 and 2+4

10. Same as #9 with form fitting curves

2 work bays and storage for 6-7 bikes.

now, 4 bikes to get built. cl350, cb400f, cb500, and cb750. that is a lot of work (for ty).

Out of my garage and in to a make-shift shop. Ty, Ryan, and I will spend much time in this stink hole over the next few months. it should only take a few days to get it all set up. My guess is that we can store and work on 10-15 bikes if we are smart with the space. and there is plenty of room for parts too. yeah it looks like a basement, hmm wonder why? it is the lockup underneath a meat cold storage warehouse. This makes it condense on the inside under the freezers. so we will need to insulate the ceiling and one wall, paint the floor and the other walls. Tonight ty bricked up the odd window in side that led to another room full of strange objects. but now that i think of it, we should open the window into a door. then we can have a whole other room for storage. and i layed down 50lbs of kitty litter to help the musky smell. hmmm…

got my mini speedo. was gonna hide it behind the headlight bucket. but i thought it looked cooler up and out a bit.so i mounted it up and we’ll see how it does.

Casey’s bike was bring’n the gang down, so we worked it up to a sweet race bike look. it took a lot of my space parts, but it really looks better. It was a bitch to get the wiring right. Finally realized it was a bad winker. Added a headlight visor, fiberglass seat, and some marker lights.

Moved to a single gauge on top. Looks like just a tach, but i am hiding a mini speedo behind the headlight bucket. looks kinda fresh. but i will have to clean up the wires.

After a ton of research and many many patterns, i drilled my front brake rotor. 10 bux in drill bits, and a little dish soap for lube. took 2 hours total. And, truthfully, i noticed ~20% better stopping. and NO squeaking at all. a good upgrade for sure. 84 holes.
